About Curious Eye's Practice

Brooke offers a caring and supportive online therapy service. She focuses on issues such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, building healthy relationships and more. Her goal is to help you uncover your inner strength, self-esteem, and sense of self-worth, supporting you in reconnecting with your intuition and moving beyond what no longer serves you.

She genuinely believes we all have the potential to grow and enhance our self-awareness, heal, build self-esteem and ultimately thrive. By embracing this journey, we can positively shift how we perceive ourselves and those around us.

A central focus of Brooke’s work is on ADHD in women. Having been diagnosed with ADHD in her 40s, she intimately understands the associated challenges, the negative self-talk it generates, and the experience of finally receiving a diagnosis.

After our 15-minute consultation, you may schedule your first online counselling session. The initial one or two sessions might differ slightly from regular ongoing therapy, as we will focus on getting to know each other, which guides our work. Supervision & Professional
Standards

As a new graduate, Brooke is working toward the designation of Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC) with the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada, also known as ACCT. She is currently focused on completing her direct client hours and supervision hours to apply for RTC candidate status. She is working with a supervisor who meets ACCT's high standards for experience, skill, and education. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. Insurance Coverage

SLIDING SCALE PRICING

Brooke’s services are not currently covered by insurance in Canada. To keep counselling accessible, fees are set on a sliding scale of $60 to $80 per session. After reaching RTC candidate status, some insurance providers might start to cover her sessions with Brooke. Once she attains full RTC status, most insurance companies are likely to reimburse for this service. Any pricing changes will be communicated to clients with 30 days’ notice.

Confidentiality

Counselling is confidential; however, there are a couple of important exceptions to be aware of. This is explained in detail in the intake forms and discussed during your first session. Sessions are booked and records are maintained using Jane App, which ensures all of your information is protected and meets HIPAA and PIPEDA compliance.
